About to get metallic window tint

Whats the likelihood that a non-ceramic window tint will interfere with either gps or the Sat radio. Do all windows need to be ceramic tint, or just the back one? Where is the antenna for the sat radio?

Ironically I am sitting in a Starbucks waiting for the shop to finish tinting my X5. From what I read on various sites, the tint should be non-metallic as to not interfere with the GPS. I opted to go with 40% Huper Optik all around - even over the factory privacy glass - and 30% on the pano sunroof. The car really heats up with all that glass!

As I recall from a post (from where I can't remember), there was an antenna on one of the rear windows as well. I could be totally wrong here since I didn't verify for myself.

I had my X5 tinted last week with non-metalic tint. No problems whatsoever with GPS, SAT or Radio reception.

In case you wanted to know what brands there are...

From searching through posts, I found the following brands: Huper Optik, Llumar (aka FormulaOne), Madico, and 3M (forget what the name was though).

Just did the Huper Optik Drei (metalic) on the X5 and it's been 100% trouble free.. the temp reduction (living here in Phoenix, Az) has been nothing less than spectacular!
