is voice control a worthy option?

Not sure its worth the $600. Does it work well with Navigation or is it a fun thing you nevr get to use?

voice control works well, I have not used it with the navigation. Works great for making phone calls, changing entertainment, etc.

Don't think there is a trick, except maybe keep the windows and roof closed when talking....speak in a regular voice. I am not sure you can enter an address in the navigation using voice, i will have to check into that, that would be great if possible (safer than using iDrive while driving)

i have it on the e53 and the e60. Works well on both, but you gotta know what to tell the system. You can't just say what you want. We made some reduced cut sheets and put them in each vehicle. Now we hardly us the cut sheets unless we are not certain about which command to use.

I love using mine, I get almost 100% recognition...I think it only needed clarifying twice, and both those times the window(s) were open....maybe traffic noise?

I originally suspected this was going to be a useless gimmicky tech toy, but it came with the pkg. anyways...turns out to be one of my favorite and most used features in the truck....good stuff!
