U.S. 2008 standard & optional features?

Anyone have any idea of 2008 Standard and Optional features? Just spoke to a dealer and they did not have that (or a pricing list). I particularly want to know what all the Packages are and what they include before ordering a 2008 X5 4.8i.

Thanks

Welocme to X5 world.
Everyone is waiting as well- nobody knows what the official word is except bits and pieces.

It should be fairly unchanged. Prices should not change much, if at all.

They've added and subtracted to packages so it'd be interesting to see the prices. I've been waiting for the turbo diesel but don't know if I can survive another year waiting... I'm just going to pull the trigger soon if they've made it much more enticing for the '08s than '07s.

What will suck is time will go by a lot faster once I have an E70 and the twin turbo will make an appearance soon thereafter.

I found it interesting that the Canadian 2008 product list included park distance control, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, panoramic moonroof, Nevada leather, audio auxiliary input (for iPod?), and BMW Assist as Standard. Also, their packages were different to U.S. 2007 packages.

This is not true. There are many option package changes (USA) i.e. navigation standard and no longer part of the Tech package, Pano roof no longer part of the Premium package, multi contour seats possibly part of the Sport package now etc...

Greg, How do you know that? That's the info that I'm looking for.

Thanks . . . . Brian

There's been a handful of threads in the last week that's discussed this since people have been able to put in orders. Check a few pages back if you're really interested in bits and pieces. But I would wait for the official release (still) since some of this information applies to 4.8i only and some may be for both. As much as I like to see new info, it just raises more questions without the actual release.

Brian5,
It appears that the dealers have this information in their online configurator and can see these options as they are ordering the X5; they just don't have any PR literature and pricing isn't finalized.

I think the options may still change, even though they are allowed to order online.

Friday is apparently the big day. That is when I heard pricing is to be finalized, which I assume also means options finalized.

There are a couple of guys on the board who are very much on the leading edge regarding short term and long term BMW direction. Look for one of them to post the option and pricing sheets right here in the E70 forum very soon.
