AC vents backlighting? or not?

I just noticed that the "0" and "1" on the AC vent wheel (that allow me to control the vent flow) doesn't backlight on any of my dash mounted vents.. I seem to recall that it did when they were new, but then I might be confusing it with my MB E class.. anyone care to double check for me?

thanks

well then that must be it.. I guess I found it odd that the otherwise well lit interior (including the door handles, and storage pockets in the doors) was missing something that is lit on even a Honda.. But it might just be an oversight that is corrected on later models.

thanks X5FX.

well, trust me, I too hate overly complex (ala Japanese style) interiors so you're preaching to the choir there, but there are certain things I expect on a $75K+ car.. and back light on controls is certainly one. The MB has it, and it looks great, and more over it can be accessed when driving at night without hunting, as I just had to do on my way home today! anyway, it's a minor issue and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a malfunction on my end.

I would have liked a backlight in the light switches in the overhead console... after all it is usually dark when you want to use them !!!

the backlight I really miss is on the reading lights...I have to hunt for those switches way too often...I never really fool with the vent on/off switch so thats why I dont care if its backlit. But the lights I dont get.
