I just got my production number and a delivery date(Performance Center delivery) for my '08 X5 3.0si. Dont know $ or option(s) changes. Go figure? White w/ black interior, premium + sport + tech + rear climate packages.

I agree inventory can be another issue or production problems for quality control.
To me the most likely issue is that BMW has lost alot of marketshare in the SUV segment to other competitors who are offering more bang for the buck. I see this as a re evaluation of their product and offerings to make it an easier pick for customers. We will find out soon enough... |

That is what I think.
And also against its strongest rivals, the X5 base model also has the weakest engine(vehicles this size needs torque and I am afraid 220 ft.lbs of Torque is not enough for a fat pig like the X5), despite the fact that it cost more. BMW needs to wake up and smell the coffee. |
