2008 No Price Increase?

Hi Guys,

First post here, great site!

I ordered my 08 back in August. Spoke with sales rep today and he doesnt think there will be any price increase?

He aslo confirmed that as of today dealers still dont have the ordering guide. He expects the truck to be delived by mid Oct. Order status has not changed yet per owners circle.

Negotiated flat 2K off msrp so I guess will see.

:xoutpost: Thus far, I have heard the same, no price increase for 08'. Did you get a printout of your order to confirm your options? Can you call your guy to see if he is showing your order as coming with nav standard now?

I have the print out and Nav is no longer listed in the technology package.
It appears to be standard on the 4.8.
I also mentioned the changes in the Canadian ordering guide and he couldnt confirm and said the cars are made for different markets.

That is new news, and would confirm what I mention in this thread >> LINK. Can you possibly scan your sheet showing that? Does it list "standard" equipment showing the nav as standard now?

BMW usually increase their prices toward the end of December or the beginning of January.

I see a base price increase of $775 for both models. No telling if there is more (or less) standard equipment at this point, but the base price is $775 more (and that's not the destination charge).

I saw that in the finance calculator section as well. I just couldn't be 100% sure that it wasn't the dest. charge.

My feeling is since the 07's are listed at $775 cheaper on the same calculator, then they did raise the price $775. Otherwise, that would mean they left it off the 07's (which is unlikely) on the calculator. I do agree it's odd that the price increase is exactly the same as the destination charge though. I am interested to see if the people here who think the 08's will have more standard features are correct. If the NAV is standard (and the Panorama), that would make the 08 a better value, but typically BMW does not tend to add content without price adjustments, so we will have to see. I do think it will be much harder to move the 07's if the 08's are less expensive when content is considered.
