It also says it will fit all X5 from '00-'07 which I would be VERY careful. The E70 hubs are larger than the e53. This would mean that they would require hubcentric rings. E70 hub size is 72.1 up from 71.56(e53). Offsets are different as well.

They likely are for the 07 models too from what another member said, but the other concern (other than the possible width difference) is that they will likely be heavier than the OEM wheels, and mine are already in the high 70's- mid 80's per wheel/tire assembly now. I switched my wife's 18's on her 4.8 to a new set of factory Dunlop Run Flats with OEM Y spokes, and while the ride is slightly tauter, it's not unacceptable in any way (considering it's a BMW and not a Caddy!). The biggest downfall to these wheels and tires is:
1: A little loss of pep (likely due to the weight increase). 2: Tire Noise (not bad, but certainly much more than what the OEM Michelin 18's made). 3: Dreading the cost of replacing those monsters when they wear out, since they will most certainly wear faster than the 18 or 19 all season tires on the non 20" setups. The local tire store wants over $2000 (with mounting and sales tax) for a set of the Dunlops that came on these wheels from BMW! The upside is that this is how all X5's should look. The 18's make it look too much like a Lexus or almost minivan-ish (no offense to those with them!) and the 20's look mean and very aggressive. I see a lot more headturning and glances from passersby in the parking lot and my wife says she has gotten a number of compliments (more since we swapped the wheels and tires to be sure). |
