Need advice on a deal...

Hi all. Getting ready to add a new vehicle to the family for my wife. We have been looking at different vehicles for about a year, and she and I are both in love with the X5 4.8. We were all about getting the 3.0, but just don't feel like the overall power on the 3.0 is sufficient. We will be moving to Eastern KY in about 9 months, and will live up on top of a mountain on a golf course. The torque and extra HP of the 4.8 is just so attractive.

Have been talking with several dealers, including one in Lexington KY about an hour and a half away. Got a qoute back tonight from him regarding the following vehicle:

Black Sapphire
Sand Beige (maybe Saddle Brown)
Vent seats
Tech Premium
Cold Weather 6FL
Sat Radio
Sport Package
Premium
Running Boards

MSRP of 67520

Selling price 62325

Is this pretty good? There was no haggling on this, was done over email with two messages. I am looking at 36 months, with pickup 12/15 as a christmas present for my wife. Any ideas about what a December MF might be? Think they will try to move them with a decent rate?

I would be paying taxes up front. Any ideas about whether or not to switch out vent seat for heads up and rear climate? Thanks...

Sounds like a good deal to me.
Most ppl here seem to manage roughly $2000 to $2500 of MSRP.

That's a good deal without haggling. Edit; Thats a great deal for an 08!
I would consider Comfort access before HUD if you're trying to leave out some options.

Something doesn't sound right, $5,200 off msrp? That's below wholesale cost

That is what I thought too. However, that is the price, and I have scanned the email three times to make sure I didn't miss anything. I am calling him in the AM, as I didn't get the last email until after eight when they closed. I will post results of my call tomorrow after I get finished talking with him.

Also, any ideas on what the MF may go to for the winter?

I think he made a mistake in his email. Someone said they got $4,000 off, and I had a VERY hard time believing that one. $2,500 to $3,000 off msrp is a very good deal, $5,200 off would cost your guy his job .

Let us know how it turns out please, and if you do indeed get this deal, tell your guy that I'm going to call him tomorrow to order mine from him, SERIOUSLY!!

MF??
