Thanks
Special option with code LUD3 I believe.

can you explain these "special" options? how do i find other special options? are you saying they are 'options' but you just have to know about them?

what i'd really like is an ALL black dashboard but with the sand/beige interior otherwise.... can that be done as a 'special' option?

found some pics here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=31

..but I still can't really tell for sure

Have any of you who have seen it in the flesh got any comments on how you thought it looked?

thanks
I am in Aust and I actually have the saddle brown - I think its looks great - the black and saddle brown are a good combination particulary if you have the anthracite roof. I can confirm that the back of the seats are black - I think it sets off the saddle brown very well otherwise there would be too much saddle brown

Has anyone successfully ordered a 2008 X5 3.0si in the US over the past two weeks with the saddle brown nevada leather seats (LUD3)? My CA is pushing back on this.

brian5 and Investor.........I started another thread on the availability of Saddle Brown in the US in order to clear up some confusion and to have all the info in one thread rather than buried within multiple threads. It seems like both of you are saying that SB can be ordered in the US, however, one of you is saying it may delay production while the other says it won't. I would like to ask you to please go to the new thread in the following link, read my first post and then please reply with whatever information you can provide.

Here's the link: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...tml#post387055

Thanks in advance,

Although I bought my X5 in Germany, they are all made in the same factory in the US. I took over an open order early August and opted for the Saddle Brown (the original had been ordered in black). The car was built late September and I got it last week. There didn't seem to be any delay caused by the choice. I actually even got the car one week before the date originally set when I signed.

Seeing that it is the same factory and supply chain: Dont expect any delay due to the Saddle Brown. Irrespective of where you are. (Unless your other option is to buy a unit that is standing on some dealers show room floor already)

And it looks just GREAT ! Yes the rear of the seats are black. But that just makes it more stylish. And if it had been all SB, it would have been too much and would have spoiled it....
