3.0sd in BMW Australia web configurator

Just noticed that the 3.0sd can now be chosen at http://www.bmw.com.au despite it not being listed with the other engines in the specifications page. There's no 'Executive' next to it's name but it's priced exactly AUD$6500 over the 3.0d Executive which suggests it's Executive spec by default, since AUD$6500 is the exact premium over the 3.0d listed in the 3.0sd dealer bulletin.

Wonder how long it'll be before it shows up as an available engine type in the spec page.

Yep it has the excutive options.... $6500 AUD is not worth it IMHO... that money is better spent on adaptive drive on the 3.0d...!

I reckon it's pretty good, although I reckon they should drop the 3.0d altogether and replace it with the 3.0sd for the same price - it's a natural progression

having said that, I'm happily shelling out for the 3.0sd and adaptive drive

I'm happy cos it offers a substantial power and torque increase for barely any extra fuel consumption

But still no auto tailgate even though it's available in the US now. But I did see you can get the 360 degree camera setup as an accessory.

I'm checking back regularly to see if they change the available options for '08 - it wouldn't suprise me if they did pretty soon

adaptive drive attempts to offset the effects of body roll, should make the vehicle pretty sexy to drive

I've included it in my sd order
