Usually 08 are addressed first - to stop the bleeding sort of speak.

I'm amazed that the fuel lines aren't already grounded. BMW would have to deliberately isolate them in the first place to avoid being grounded.

It's legally required that any affected vehicles (including those on dealer lots) be fixed before they can be sold once the recall is announced. If it was a TSB it could be fixed later, but a NHSTA recall means that they have to be fixed before they can be sold. I bet some late 07's and all 08's already have it from the factory.

I checked and mine was done when I went in for a loose speaker grill about a month ago. I think DROD is possibly exaggerating the issue.
