2008 Comfort seat..NO Pillows!!! ?
I was at the dealer today for service and looked at a 2008 4.8 with comfort seats. They have no pillow and a new headrest design that looks awful IMO. The back of the headrest is hard plastic like a box and the button on the side allows the headrest to slide forward. I love my '07 headrests and I think it is such a unique and practical feature. I wonder why they changed?

I noticed that with the configurator on the australian bmw site and wondered if they'd been changed or if it was just a poor graphical representation

i saw today at the dealer a truck full of new 08 x5's
and if had i known i would have taken pictures of this comfort headrest.. i may have to go back and take pictures if any of them if they have this option

They actually resemble the Mercedes headrests. Fugly!!

The style you have did poorly in crash tests. Presumably the new style is safer in a rear-end collision.
