Thanks, has 30% tint and darker will make those red lines less noticeable ?

I tinted my back window with 20% and the lines are definitely less noticeable. Have a look at some of my pics:

you also have the factory privacy glass which makes lines less noticable. Thanks

Thanks for clarifying.
Have a look at mine, it has the standard rear tint from the factory with an added 50% tint using Lumar.

Cheers,

This from another forum, thanks

At night you may notice that the light from headlights will reflect off of the defogger lines. This is caused by the film having to bend slightly around the raised defogger line, it varies from car to car, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Hey, Tropics,
Were you able to resolve the problem? I think trading the car in is a bit extreme for just this issue.
If you really consider this a problem, why cant you just change the rear glass?
I believe that it retails for just over $500. I am sure if you negotiate with the dealer you can have it for just around that much installed. IMHO I think this would be the easiest resolution.
I know I also didnt get climate package which means no privacy glass. I looked at my current ride's tint and also started to notice other SUV's with privacy glass, privacy glass is obviously nicer, but I doubt I will have to go with extreme of changing glass or worce, trading in my X for another one.

Thanks for the ideas still have the film on rear window waiting few more days to make decision. The look still bugs me . However X5 is great driving with moon roof open and 2 front windows down. Anyway
Been dring the Z4 more lately. Convertible top down season now . 68 degrees tonight top down with heated seats awesome.
