Anybody on this board would be pissed about a dealership screwing up their X5 order like this...I don't blame you for being upset about it. I can imagine my husband's response if we hadn't gotten the X5 we ordered. It wouldn't have been pretty!

All the bragging about wealth was arrogant and ridiculous...actually, I'm impressed you had the maturity to apologize. Good on you!

Someone earlier posted about getting the dealership to loan you the black X while you wait for the bronze one you originally ordered. That sounds like a great idea to me. Good luck!

1) If I had just waited 4 mths for my X5, and they completely butchered the colors, would I be angry? Sure, I probably would. Since it is my hard-earned money going to something I will have to live daily with for the next five or so years.

Sure, many of us live a lifestyle similar to yours. But unlike you, many of us have worked very hard and have made many sacrifices to get to that point. Nobody here envys you. So please take that into consideration next time you post.

This is an interesting thread. I've been to the UAE several times. Cool, very polite people, good food.....and it's considered bad form to comment on your wealth.

My friend I am waiting for my X5 7 years already(addicted to X5), but I don't have one because I cannot afford myself to buy one. Not because I don't work but because life is not a game as you think. If you don't like your black X5 you can give it to me I will be very grateful to you and I will be very happy because I know how to spend my life and to get fun from everthing.
So value what you have now otherwise you will be very sad later on when you loose it.
You have best regards from Mitreeellee!

All the more reason to believe he's an internet Daddy Warbucks, not a real one.
