Anyway, Aidan, we have the X5 and E46 M3. The M is WAY more fun but is tough/tiring as a daily driver when dealing with stop/go traffic and crater road surfaces Boston. Could be tough living with the X in Dublin traffic but would be a blast outside the city (the X will never be that much fun). However, the X is fast enough and comfortable enough as a daily driver for 'she who must be obeyed' - big factor to consider Two entirely different but fun cars in their own way but you are comparing apples and oranges. I say trade in the Audi and get an M and an X. |

Actually, the roads in general out here are why I just sold mine and purchased the X5 Cheers, KEF |

Had an X5 for a long weekend, would you believe, NO demo M3s here in Southern Ireland - they retail at 105k base, so I think they don't want any preregistrations....... |

Yes, agree an M as a daily driver in Boston is a waste - that is why we got the X plus we 'needed' AWD for skiing trips deep in VT/ME. The M is never really driven in Boston other than to leave the city for fun trips when the sun finally comes out and the top is down - a lot more fun in the winding roads around NH/ME. Best of both worlds I drove a Proceded 335i and was very impressed with torque curve starting at such low rpms - would be more 'usable' power IMHO. But, to each his own.

Ah, you're nuts brother. I had the E46 M3, there are one or two 335's on this board that could hang with it.

The M-DCT might do well in the city - Mrs L loved the TT, so I might not be able to trade it in, despite a lot of her peers driving SUV type machines.........
