Good news for 08 - Illumnated Light switch
Looks like X5's built after 20 May 07 should have the light switches illiminated in the overhead console... noticed this when browsing some SIB bulletins.. Unfortunately there is no retrofit ...and my car was produced prior to this...!!
SUBJECT Interior Light Switch Illumination MODEL E70 (X5) Vehicles produced from start of production to May 19, 2007 SITUATION The interior light switches in the Roof Functions Center (FZD) do not illuminate when the vehicle lights are turned on. GENERAL INFORMATION [GRUSB6307U87.JPG]Please be aware that this is normal operation. Vehicles produced up to May 19, 2007 do not have this function. An attempt to upgrade a customer vehicle to the new functionality either by parts replacement or coding is not possible. WARRANTY INFORMATION Information only.
