UK - Renewal of Assist

I've just had the letter in from BMW about extending BMW Assist beyond the initial 6 months - BMW want £120 to extend it. Is anyone in the UK taking them up on this - my feeling is that it is a bit steep for what they are offering.

Pete,

I thought this was now free for 3 years. Im sure I read it somwhere I will try and find the URL. Having said that if you have a letter then I may be miss informed unless its only on newly registered cars

I think I may be getting this mixed up. Looking on the BMW UK website it says:

Every new vehicle equipped with Bluetooth telephone preparation and a navigation system, is entitled to a free of charge three year BMW ConnectedDrive account.

Is ConnectedDrive not the same as Assist?

My letter says that BMW Assist has been recently enhanced to become BMW ConnectedDrive. Certainly when I bought my E70 I knew it was only for 6 months - just trying to work out if it is worth the extra dosh.
