Whistle Guess what I did today

I have never done anything spontaneous like this before. I'm kind of in shock to tell the truth. I went to Open Road this morning, said goodbye to the E53 and hello to the E70.

Background - I've been patiently awaiting the release of the X6. My E53 lease is just about done. The plan was to hold on to her until I could touch and feel the 6 cyl when it hit the dealer. If I liked it, I'd extend 6 months and wait until the 8 cyl came out in June. An electrical gremlin in the E53 made me re-think the plan.

I will admit, I did not like the E70 when I first saw it. The exterior has grown on me considerably but there will always be a place in my heart for the E53. I loved it from the moment I saw it. I was so excited taking delivery of my first X5, not to mention my first BMW. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about.

I really haven't driven it enough to give a full review. It is very different. I need to finish playing around with the I-Drive and setting everything up. It may take a while. I am SO bad with this stuff it's not even funny, I'm actually intimidated by all the new gizmos and gadgetry. The bluetooth is done My friends can't tease me anymore because I won't talk and drive . I'm loving the sat radio. I could drive forever with all those tunes.

This is my first experience with a sports package. I'm liking sport mode. The comfort seats have way too many combinations. I haven't gotten the seat quite right yet nor have I found the perfect place to put my left foot. My old spot was the step in the E53 that the seat tracks sat on . It was perfect. I need to find someplace with a nice backdrop for a quick photo shoot.
Black Sapphire, black interior, bamboo trim.
