iPhone X5 address book issues
Just got my X5 4.8 today and trying to sort through everything. Overall, everything is great but my address book is not coming up correctly nor is the voice dial. For many of my contacts on my iPhone, only the area code will come up on the iDrive and this will be the only number dialed, which obviously doesn't work. Any thoughts? I saw some people with a similar problem on their '07 335 ( http://www.bmwcca.org/node/10417).
Thanks. |

There is full iphone integration for X5s produced after 04/2007. Try re-pairing it.

Thanks for the reply. I tried re-pairing the iPhone but I'm still stuck with the same problems. I've tried turning off Wifi which I read on some other forums helps but I still only see the area codes on many of my contacts.

All of the numbers are alphanumeric without any spaces. In addition, I just tried restoring the entire iPhone without any change. Pretty frustrating. I have an '06 Audi S4 that pairs without any glitches at all right away.

The contact list phone numbers from my Iphone synced correctly with my 2007 X5. I use Office 2007 running on Vista for my contacts on the computer.

I keep on trying to find some reason for why only some numbers only show the area code only but can't. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I've tried restoring my iPhone, re-entering the data for those contacts, erasing and recreating them as well. I'm using a Macbook Pro 10.5.1 using the Address Book.

On my Iphone all the contact phone numbers show in the the format (###) ###-####. Maybe that will give you a clue as to what is going on.
