Dunlops, 21" on 215 rims, 275 front, 325 rear. Just hit 20,000 this morning.
Mine are going well, I really look after them - so no dirt roads etc. Will easily reach 30,000kms.

Cheers,

Noise is the same as my run flats which was very minimal in my opinion on local and highways. People suggest they get louder as it wears but I personally don't expect to put that many miles on them anytime soon. And again, runflats weren't even that loud for me.

Ride & feel is much better - the bumps in the road are no longer "thumps" in the road. It actually feels like I'm on rubbers now. Biggest difference here.

Handling is slightly better, more stable, but not a huge difference even though they are noticeably wider. No experience in rain or snow yet as it's only been a week.

Tram-lining I have no experience with as I drive only local paved roads.

Price difference - the Toyos are definitely cheaper - like $200 ea. compared to $350+ for runflats, on top of the fact that you need an entire new runflat should something go wrong with it. No $10 patch jobs here. The Toyos are also slightly cheaper than the Michelin non-runflats. I would've been very satisfied with the Michelins non-runflats (which I got as OEM runflats) - they felt very good and handled well even in snow, but I felt I owed something less boring a try. One look at the Toyos and I was hooked. Good ratings there too.

Hi

Does anyone know of non-runflat tyres for the OEM 21’’ rims (275 Front & 325 Rear)?
I still have yet to find any non-runflat tyres for the Spider Spoke 128 rims.

Kind Regards
ekelly

Are the Toyos a slightly wider tyre over that of the Diamaris at the same size of 285/45R19 does anyone know?

My understanding is that most run flats have short tread life and wear-out around 20,000 to 30,000 miles. Yes or no?

Do the larger 20's wear out sooner? Or is that the 20's are dry weather high performance tires that haver softer treads and normally wear out sooner?

I must say that I am not a fan of run flats, I find that blow out on my normal tires are very rare (has never happened to me ), I did have a slow leak that the air pressure monitoring system pick-up.

Don't really see the advantage of run flats?

Just about Tyres: X5 2007, 19" wheels , I scrapped the Run Flat's and installed Pirelli 255/50R19 Scorpion zero, load index 107 , $560.- each. It's fantastic very very smooth no more bumping all the time and very little noise. Now it is the 125k vehicle. Thanks to Conquest Tyrepower Adelaide, Australia. The owner puts a lot of time in searching for the best tyre. phone 8340 1404
Never more run Flats
