Anyone experiencing the same ??
The noise is best described as a 'hollow roar' or may be a trumpet sound - some road surfaces will make a slight difference to the noise, but it is always in the background !! My deal had the car checked and put it down to tyre noise, but I'm not sure !! Is anyone else hearing the same noise and whats your thoughts on this ?? Thanks |

I have noticed a similar noise.
I do not think that it is tire noise. I experimented by modulating the throttle slowly, the noise changed with the engine speed before the vehicle speed changed. I sounds like a bit like a Toyota truck. I am bringing my in to have the read entertainment unit replaced and I will ask them to look at it.

Thanks for the reply - as you say I'm not sure if its tyre noise or not, but the dealer checked bearings etc.. and could only put it down to the run flat tyres..
I would be interested to know what your dealer says and anyone else in this forum that is experiencing the same or have spoken with their dealers regarding this. Ta |

Hi - I just upgraded to 214 rims, and Conti DWS non-RFT tires and have the exact noise you're describing. Did you ever get your noise resolved? Mine is at the dealer now, I'll update late once I get it back.
