Speaking of parking brakes....there is no way on our E70s to slowly engage the parking brake, is there?

I remember on my 2004 330cic and my 2005 M3, that even the BMW manual talked about once in a while while driving slow (15-20mph or so) to slowly pull up on the hand brake/E-brake. This removes (rust/buildup?) and lets the E-brake function better.

Ideas?
