Should I be worried?

On a positive note my 2008 silver/black X5 4.8 with premium package, premium sound, navigation, cold weather package, sports package, rear climate package, and USB/ipod adapter should be delivered to my dealership within the next week! But I am worried because neither my sales rep nor BMW has any brochures available for the 2008 X5. I called and specifically asked BMWUSA to send me a X5 brochure and instead get a BMW innovation magazine. It just seems like something is up with the brochure and why is it only viewable online? Does this mean BMW is planning to change over the engines midyear in the X5 to a twin turbo inline 6 and v8 like in the X6? or planning on doing a major facelift/changes? Please fill me in if anyone has the scoop.

I have a brochure for the 2008 X5. I got it when I placed my order last week. It is a full brochure and includes all of the new features for the 2008 model year (new comfort seat headrests, auto hold, etc.)

Dont worry, be happy! You ordered a great car and sounds like you will have it soon. Nice combo too!

Try a couple of other dealers if you really want a brochure.

are you afraid you may have missed out on something?

it's just buyers remorse you have there bro. it will go away just as soon as you drive the new ride.

my salesman followed up with me recently to be sure i was up to speed on all the gadgetry on the truck. as far as i am concerned, if after 3 weeks i ain't figured it out, i don't need it.

I ordered recently and don't have buyer's remorse. It's more the fact that the the twin turbo petrol 3.0 may be released in the near future making the current 3.0si obsolete mere months after we pick up our new rides. I'll gladly pay a few more Gs for it but it's not available... will it be soon? That's the problem.

Announce it or denounce it... either way, please....

EDIT>> oh well, I forgot mine's being built already.

Like what basically everyone said, do not worry about it and besides you do not want to purchase the first year production anyway.

not to mention the twin screw has overheating issues when pushed. i would have to wonder how the added weight of the X5 (3k lbs. +/-) would affect that issue.

Which might explain why the Roundel had the rumor of the twin turbo appearing in the 2008 X5, but which didn't happen. It might have been planned by BMW, but put on hold due to the overheating issues that have appeared with the twin-turbo.
