Ipod adapter - Questions about its Limitations

Is there any way to more quickly go through my Ipod? I usually search by artist so my problem is that I haven't figured out how to quickly get to the end of the alphabet. I start at "A" and scroll through until I find an artist, play a song or two, go back to artists and I have to start at "A" all over again. Turn the car off, start it up - start at "A" all over again. I have compiled a bunch of playlists to help out some but again, all menus start from the beginning.

Too bad there is no alphabetical listing like with the blue tooth connection. Getting through my phonebook is a breeze.

Am I missing something or is that just the way it works?

i keep my ipod connected... and everytime I start her up it picks up from where it left off... (using Playlist)

if I disconnect then yes it starts from either "A" or the top of your Playlist.

don't think there's anything that can be done...

set your ipod to "shuffle songs"

at least you'll start with something different each time...

I use play lists for mine. I find this much easier way to find whatever I want to listen to. On iTunes you can make playlist of almost anything you want (album, artist, music classification, etc.) and you can make each playlist as long or as short as you want it to be by adding or deleting songs. You can use the same song, artist, album on multiple playlists if you prefer. Very flexible and easy to do.

Well, if you by a Ford Focus with Synch, you can just tell it what artist you want to play.

I like BMWs, but in some ways they are rather late with some basic technologies available in other vehicles... probably because they show a strong preference to German and EU suppliers for many things.
