I'm also having problems getting the homelink to work with my garage door... all you're supposed to do is hold both the original transceiver and one of the X's mirror buttons down for < 15 seconds right? The LED just does a slow blink, never the fast blink that indicates signal acquired. I have tried a reset/clear and retried to no avail. My original transceiver has dip switches so it should be the basic kind. Any ideas?
This should do it:

Clear the homelink buttons in the car (hold down the 1/3 button till the light blinks)
Press the learn button on the garage unit
In 30 seconds press the Homelink button in the car along with the remote

The white in the E70 is exceptional; I am still partial o the Sterling, but the white is great. Congrats!
