LG Viewty Mobile Phone

Does anyone know if the LG Viewty U990 mobile phone will pair up with my E70 - this phone does not appear on the BMW website phone listings

You never know when a phone would work. I've owned many phones that are not on the list on BMW's website, but they have worked flawlessly. I had one phone that wouldn't transfer its phonebook to the car. In general, I think Nokia phones work the best with my E70.

I just picked up my 08 X5 yesterday and paired my Verizon LG VX8700 with no problems. It paired and transfered the entire phone book in a matter of a minute. I had an 07 Acura MDX prior to the X5 and I am very pleased with all aspects of the Bimmer's BT setup.

the LG Viewty does not work in my X5 (2005).
I can connect but I have no phone book and there is no sound and the mic does not work.

I could not get my LG Viewty to pair with my Aston Martin Vantage. The car BT would recognize the phone, but the phone would not recognize the car to pair up. I returned the phone and bought a Sony Ericsson K850i and it works perfectly with my Aston. I am confident the BMW BT is not very different,

I have a Viewty and also an e70 4.8i and it does pair, and will receive/make calls properly, but does not transfer phone book (and therefore does not recognize names)
I'm not sure if it differs from one e70 to another though
