drove my wife's RX 330 and...

Took a 400 mile family road trip this weekend in my wife's Lexus RX 330 and I couldn't wait to get back to my X. The X has more power and world's better handling and braking. These two vehicles aren't even in the same league. At one point during the trip I had to swerve out of the way of a fairly large branch on the highway that looked like it might have fallen from a truck and the vehicle twisted and turned so much that I didn't know if we were going to stay upright. In addition to feeling significantly more solid and stable, the X is also quieter at speeds over 60 mph and has a more spacious and refined interior.

The X is clearly a better driving machine but this weekend I learned that it is also safer and more comfortable.

I think one particular member summed up the RX very well.....

so you are saying you let your spouse purchase a vehicle you know to be less safe and less comfortable? Or if you are suggesting that you didn't know it at the time of purchase for your wife's vehicle but now that you've tested it you know, then what is holding you back from righting the wrong? Does your wife agree to the statement above?

how could you possibly read that, from the words that he used and the sentences he formed with them?

If my late-night, wine-induced sarcasm didn't ooze out of my post, i apologize. however, given the post below, i am guessing that the readers' state of mind and/or time of the day may have something to do with it. that's the theory i am going to stick to unless someone can demonstrate to me that it may have something to do with the hemispheric difference.

oh and in case anyone is wondering my wife does drive an X5.

LMAO
this is a funny thread.

Some women simply likes how a vehicle looks not how it feels to drive.

"I dont care about the angel eyes..provided i can see in the dark"

"I dont care if the mirror folds, I cannot even find the button to unfold it when i need to drive it"

few of my wife's comments

My wife just has me drive her everywhere. Doesn't bother me anymore... I get to drive more.

My mom isn't familiar with functions of a vehicle. For example, she never really fully understood automatic climate control, even my older Lexus ES from 1996. The problem arises when I shut the climate off (on warm days to open windows), and when she takes out the car after me. She never opens the windows. Poor her, she has to drive in a stuffy car with no fan, no AC, and no windows. . I keep telling her to just push Auto or push any button to turn it back on, but she still forgets.

Thankfully she DOES know the headlight and foglight (front and rear) usage. I taught her voice dial on the 325i last weekend but I have to review with her next time just to make sure. I programmed all the names into the car, but getting her to speak the proper commands loudly enough is a work in progress

Anyone for coming up with a quiz/test?
