Guys,
I just got a reply from a company named GGI Tuning and they are the official dealer of HARTGE products in the USA. Is this true ? I sent an email to HARTGE-Germany inquiring about HARTGE exhaust tips and this GGI Tuning replies to me that HARTGE does not sell only the tips but together with the muffler and pipes as one set. Hmmm......... Hans ACS, Can you help me out here..... P.S. Check out website at www.ggituning.com |

Hartge sells exhaust tips with adapters (extensions that connect to existing muffler)
http://www.hartge.de/e/bmw_auspuff_4552.html they are expensive though..... ($1575 US for these tips) for that money you're closer to getting a full exhaust... note: i'll be installing the Bastuck system soon... (i'll keep you guys posted)

Hans ACS,
How much did you get those Hartge tips ? I recall in your previous post you mentioned around 700 euro ? How can I order the same item from Hartge-Germany without going thru GGI Tuning ? regards, |

the outside diameter of the tip on the 3.0si is almost 3 inches... i think it's actually 2.9... then it tapers a few inches down to about 2.6...
i noticed it when i removed the chrome tip covers that came with the vehicle...(i was also looking to replace these tips with hartge or something else..) the actual exhaust tips do not come off... you would need to cut and weld something else on if you want to change the tips... (or get a muffler/tip kit) i also went through a number of bolt-on tips to see if i could slide something over the stock exhaust... (nothing would fit..and the stock exhaust sticks out thus preventing any other tips to completely slide over and become flush with the bumper) after a few weeks of trying different options i decided to go with a semi-full exhaust kit...(everything but the headers) still in delivery so i haven't installed it yet..but hopefully soon...
