Yup, counld not have said it better myself. just give it a whirl around town and don't be afraid to give some force when braking. BMW brake roters can oxidize (show brown surface corrosion) even over night. Anyway, my point is that the breaks are so sensitive even with slight pressure on the brake pedal and many drivers don't actually use the brakes enough to promote good surface contact (IMHO). Mine squeals occasionally and goes away after some good breaking every time. Don't have to go overboard ( as in go 100mph and hard-brake to 0) but just give it some push on the pedal and it will go away. now, if its time to replace the pad or the roter then... please do so and ignore what I said.

Will they be replacing the brake pads at the annual maintenance regardless of mileage? Also, rotors are not covered, correct?

Rotors are covered under the US maintenance policy, unless there have been recent changes. |
