I'm in Waterloo as well. the snow (as record setting as it seems) is no competition for the X. Enjoy the weather.

We really did get hit pretty hard in the Toronto area during the weekend - and echoing other's comments, the X5 really did amazing even on the 19" all-seasons. The only caution is to leave extra space to slow down, as I found that it isn't too great in that aspect. Feather the brakes that little bit harder and the ABS goes nuts! Although I think that could easily be fixed with a set of snow tires...

Supposedly there's one more coming. DSC off and have some fun!

Where I live we had had over 4 meters of snow this winter. My 18" snows replaced the 20" summers back in November, the X5 has been great. Excellent traction and great stopping power. ABS behaves as it should - but it really needs the traction of snow tires. The ground clearance has also been a bonus, with melting during the day the ruts can be 6-8" deep - scrapes the heck out of my wife's 5 series floor pan. Now she wants her own X.
