Delaer said NO to Dunlop I would have to buy to replace as Bridgestone are standard fit for Europe car
Anyone able to solve this noise not just road noise its worse, but delear investigate X5 and 100% road noise.
Very bad for high cost of car

If you are leasing the car you have to return it with the same type of tires that it came with -same size, RF-brand name doesn't make a difference (at least with BMW Canada).A few guys here replace the RF's with regular tires to improve the noise/ride quality problem and they put them back on the car upon lease end.

Thats BS, they come with Mich's, Dunlops & Bridgestone, you get what ever they arrive with. If you get on well with the dealer and he has a demo X5 with 20" wheels with Dunlops he will swap them over before you take delievery. My last E70 came with Dunlops (quiet), my current E70 has Bridgestones (noisy).

Dunlops are softer compound, Bridgestones are harder compound, Mich's are in between.

Thank for advice I will try again delaer for Dunlop - i will let you know
I assume the noise is same on all bridgestone X5, normal road noise which changes with surface and extra noise which delaer said come from tyre edges, usually outer edge

Hi Alan
I'm affraid so all Bridgestone RFT to the X5 seem to be troublesome with noise - I too will be interested to see how you get offwith your Dealer to change & fit Dunlops and certainly interested to hear fom anyone else that has made the change and whats the difference..
