It would be interesting to see how it works in the X5.
In the X3, even after the facelift, programming must be done to make the rear fogs work. This is despite the fact that the rear fogs work similarly as they do in the new X5, that is, as the panic brake lights. They are a lifesaver, IMO. We drove to the Poconos in PA last Friday. With falling temps, snow cover, and heavy rain, there were portions of I-80 and I-81 that had downright no visibility. I was down to 60km/h with hazards in those sections because I was driving blind. With rear foglights, at least the truckers and other cars managed to keep a distance from me. |

We have this standard on our version down south.
The switch is just opposite the front fog switch.
