sport button problem - Page 2

In Canada you need to have the Dynamic package with the sport package to get the button. I have it and I always drive in "sport" unless I have passengers.

yeah I know, I didn't get the adaptive drive (dynamic handling package). yeah I figure I wouldn't even turn it off so i decided not to get it and save some money as well. On hindsight, I should have.

I don't feel a difference but then again I haven't pushed the car to its limits. We have the 19" wheels.

i have 20" wheels and also 18" ones for winter. i feel almost NO difference with the sport button on or not. and i have the sport package with the adaptive drive.... and the button really has almost no noticeable effect. i wish there was a more obvious way test it.

any thoughts?

try focusing on body roll in turns while hustling thru some twistys. you should notice less body roll with sport setting on.

makes me feel better, thought the button would give that magically supple pillowy ride but if not... then may be i just saved a bunch of money.. lol

Same here, don't feel a damn thing different but haven't pushed corners to the point where wheels would screech or anything like that.

I can feel a definite diff between the two. Non-sport is less hard...ie. a little less stiffness

i've tried sport and comfort mode on the VW Tourag and it's VERY noticeable... even when going straight over bumps... you can easily tell when it's on or off. I honestly drive my x5 quite hard... have even taken it on a track... and I can NOT tell the difference with sport button on or not....

are you all sure that it's not psychological to some extent.... have your friend push it and not tell you when he/she does... and see if you can really feel a difference.

even one of the BMW instructors at the performance center said he could not tell a difference.

I want to be sure it's really working....

i usually turn the button on above 50 mph or so and leave it off when going slower.... 'theoretically' that makes sense to me, as i want better handling at higher speeds and more comfort at lower ones.
