US - X5 GPS to be used in Europe

I am planning to take my US X5 with GPS to Europe. The nav disk for Europe that I can buy here, only contains part of Europe. However, the full European disk is available int Europe. I am told that if I buy a disk in Europe, it will NOT work in my US GPS system. Any suggestions on how I can make it work?

A friend of mine had a US spec X5 and had a euro navi disc that worked fine. I don't think you should have a problem.

No problem. Remember that the Euro disc lists which countries it supports. EG. Poland is not on the Euro list and needs a seperate disc. Where in Europe is your X going?
