Labor for wheel/tire flares

My dealer told me it would take 2 hours for them to install wheel flares on my 07 X5 3.0 (with running boards).

Is 2 hours consistent with what your dealer charged you?

Any help is appreciated...I need to know by today please... Thanks.

I'll tell you something - if you do it yourself, you better have a rivet tool. It is intensive labor putting them in without one. If you have one, do it yourself - it's quite a simple process. If I had to guess, I'd say 1-hr real time (remove/replace) but in the books it may be 2 with running boards to consider. There are a few here who've had their dealer do it so of course they'd be more accurate.

Can't say on the dealer time bit I changed mine in about 45 minutes.
+1 on the rivet tool, I didn't have one that fit the plastic rivets but was able to do it by holding the base with a large screwdriver and pulling the rivet with pliers.
In Dealer world, 2 hours is probably book hours and that's what they quoted you.
You might do better at an independent or body shop if your not up to the task.
