Suspension & ECU reset

I was looking around within the E70 Forum but couldn't find any previous posts on this. It used to be possible with my E53s to reset the air suspension by turning they key to position 2 wait for 5-10 seconds, turn ignition off and then switching the engine on (this triggered the adaptation step). The same thing worked on my ML63, and so it seems my new X6.

Anyway, with the E53 if you switched on the ignition with a door or boot open, it would trigger a secondary routine that left the suspension feeling decidely odd (i.e. the spring rates out of balance either across the axle or between front and rear axles). The only way of resolving this, used to be to stop the car switch off the ignition and initiate the 'reset' process.

I am finding the same situation with the X6, so I'm wondering if anyone has obtained the tech manual for the E70 X5 to confirm if this characteristic does still exist. And more importantly how long should I wait before switching the ignition on, after initiating a reset.

If anyone knows, please let me know.

well, there is no number two position on the E70 as far as i know.. (I have Comfort Access as well). I was never aware of it. I mean air suspension...it's got the air/gas rear suspension (self-leveling) but i don't know if that needs resetting.
