20" Style 214s - NON 'runflat' tyre options
What are the substitutes for 20" Style 214's in "NON RUN FLAT"...and what are experiences - price, performance, some are you just paying for the name whilst other brands are cheaper, and performance is better...?? TOYO, Bridgestone, Dunlop....?? and what ranges to look out for (ie ZR series, or SportMaxx series...??) Thanks |

I have the yoko advan on mine as was recommended by my local Bob Jane T Mart. My requirements were 1. comfortable ride and 2. longevity as I do 30-50k a year.
I have only covered 500km so far on them but can report that they are a very comfortable ride... compared to my old runflats (yoko advan 275/40/20 315/35/20 - previous 255/55/18 runflat) |

I've just ordered TOYO's for my car... The bridgestone Run flats were crap in my opinion. They lasted 30,000km but the ride has been harsh.....
I managed to get a damaged tyre at xmas time in Emerald (qld).... LIKE... sure THEY are going to have a 20" run flat lying around..... Thank god for ingenuity out there..... truck patch on the side wall meant I could limp back 600km to the gold coast...... Not sure what the Toyo's are going to be like, but on a price side, they are much more reasonable...... $310 per front tyre..... ( stgeorge tyre centre - sydney.... )

Michelin Latitude Tour HPs (not HP ZP as those are the RFT version) & Toyo Proxes S/T are non-RFT all-seasons. The Yokohamas Advans are non-RFT but are summer-only from what I've read.
Have been very happy with my Toyos so far. Much better price than the Michelins and they look a lot more aggressive too. Some say you'll get noise later on with the Toyos so be aware. If you want to go the safer route, there's nothing wrong with the Michelins (just boring IMO).
