Herky Jerky Starts From Full Stop

I've got an E70 that seems to automatically go into neutral if I've been at a full stop for more than a few seconds. When I lift my foot off the brake there's a half a second pause and it jerks into gear.

Anyone else have this problem?

its jsut the way the tranny shifts. its serching for the correct gear. if you come to a complete stop it shouldnt do it, but it you jsut stop and go it will, cause its in second and then if you press the gas to hard it shifts to 1st. and thats jerkey.

3.0 or 4.8? People have reported jerky tranny problems on the latter.

Sounds very much like the Auto Hold feature is turning on. Is your AutoH light on by your shifter or is PARK lit in your dashboard in green color?
