E70 Wood Trim Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the wood trim from the door panel on a 2008 X5? I've seen other threads on how to remove the wood trim from the E53 X5, but I haven't come across any threads for the new body style. I've got a pretty significant scratch and I need to find a way to replace it. Thanks

I don't know how the trim panels are removed but I can point you to diagrams showing an exploded view of the components. These diagrams can be found under General Info & Guides, 28 BMW Online Parts Catalogue. The diagrams of interest appear to be these:

and

Please let us know how you do it if you do manage to remove the trim.

Simon

Thanks for the diagrams, but unfortunately I was still unable to remove the wood trim piece. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and bring it to the dealership.
