Would you tow this?

Hello all,

I've been thinking about upgrading my Honda Ridgeline (great truck btw) and really upgrading to an X5 3.0. My biggest concern though is towing. As you can see by the pick my Airstream is towed beautifully by the Ridgeline but I've had a really bad experience in the past with a German SUV and their towing capabilities (not BMW). I'm obsessed with the X5 and I really would love to own one but I don't want to make any mistakes.

I've researched them all, MB, VW, Audi, Porsche and I keep coming back to BMW. It's the best one in my opinion.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
James

I own an 07 3.0 and pull up to 3500lbs on flat to rolling hills. Low profile trailer.
When on the highway in rolling hills I use the sport drive to keep from constant shifting on grades. (6th gear is more of an overdride anyway)

If you are going to drive in mountains or long distance high speed trips you might
want to consider the 4.8 especially if you do a lot of towing in these conditions.
