Winter wheel/tire set up...
I have the 20'' 214's so I think I need to make the changeover.

Its the rubber which makes the difference on snow. Snow tires on even 20" will be better than all season on 18". Your 20" have summer performance tires so you need a set of winter wheels+tires for CT weather. From experience; 18" with snow tires will hold like spikes on snow.

$1200 is what my A/S Michelin RFT 19s went for in practically new condition. Was hoping for more but it was a member.
Those tires drove perfectly fine in a heavy snowstorm by the way. Not terribly deep snow but it was packing in there and in one instance I got up a slight incline with no hassle while some RWD boat of a vehicle tried in vain. Too bad your 20s are summer tires. I have high hopes for these Toyo A/Ss which got decent reviews in snow. I might go with my other SUV though... can never predict what others will do out there.
