Newbie questions about chiptuning, exhaust and ipod.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I am visiting the forums since March when I decided to go ahead and order my X5. I have to admit that if it weren’t for this forum and all of you posting I wouldn’t be able to make up my mind and order my x5 exactly as I wished. So thanks a lot to everyone.

Now to the point.

I won’t get to details about my ride I will just tell you that its a 3.0SD
My questions are the following and if someone can help me I would be very greatful.

1st - Has anyone actually gone though with the engine chip tuning ?
I remember reading previous posts that some of you were looking into it but never seen anything since then. if yes what are the results and impressions. I am thinking hartge or ziptuning.

2nd – Is it possible to switch my exhaust with the 4.8i one?
Has anyone done it? Is there any difference in the sound or the power output? Is there any kind of complication because mine is diesel and the 4.8i is petrol?

3rd – I have the usb installed for my ipod. It is recognized ok and plays songs fine but not though playlist. When ever I go under playlists it says “ no entries found” but unfortunately this is a huge problem because I have set up my ipod in itunes and sorted all my songs though playlists.
Any ideas?
