Yes, but only for year, check this out, http://edbmw.com/main/edtracking.html, toward to the end of the page.

I thought you can find the build date through iDrive.

Our 08 has been great. We previously owned a Volvo XC90 (two in fact) and they were horrible by comparison.

With one exception, we've only had a couple minor nits that our dealer was easily able to resolve for us.

The exception was one of the tire pressure sensors. It came off inside the tire and was rattling around in there. the dealer tried to blame us for hitting a pothole and stick us for the repair. Of couse we didn't hit anything - there was no evidence of any other damage. ultimately they did the repair and didn't charge us.

The warranty really does cover everything. Just buy it, drive it, have fun with it, it it brakes let em fix it. Other than that don't worry about it.

So even if i get a 07 new build date...i don't have to worry about anything becuase everything is coverd for 4 years or 50k, right? If thats the case then who cares? something goes wrong with the car and i take it in the shop and get a nice lil 335 for a couple days?....

^ they don't always find the problem the first time. Many stories of people going back 4 or 5 times for the same problem or differing problems that pop up one after another. I'd get frustrated at that even if it were free fixes.
