Adaptive Headlight Failure

The Adaptive Headlight failure light has come on. Its not much of an issue; for the life of me I can't tell the difference from when it supposedly worked. Anyhow, not being a mission critical failure I plan to have it taken care of on my next planned service visit.

But in the meantime the thing blocks out time, temperature and navigation information in the band below the display. Seems a bit of an overkill for a minor issue like this. Does anyone know any way to reset or make the damn warning go away for now?

Thanks,
Ken
