Of course it looks better with the black plastic bumpers painted to match the paint, but I guess being used to the E70 with the black bumpers....the white E70 X5 looks like the 2008/2009 X3! ALso, having painted front & rear bumpers makes you much more prone to dings/scrapes in parking lots, parallel parking, etc.. We can't forget that the X5 is a "sports activity vehicle", and the black bumpers are useful, practical and somewhat rugged.

I love the painted bumpers but for people like me who actually uses the X5 as an "SAV", having the plastic bumpers are much more practical and useful.

are these painted bumpers the aero kit or just painting the black plastic. I believe the aero kit actually uses different material.

It's important to me because I installed and like the grill and under ride, which is not compatible with the aero kit, but I would love my bumpers to match the car.
