How many keys

Folks in the US, how many keys did you get with your vehicle. I only got two keys (remotes), no plastic key or valet key. Do I need to ask my CA for the key?

E53 = 2 remotes and one plastic valet good for about 5-10 lock/unlock cycles
E70 = 2 remotes unlock/lock and drive (Master), and 2 for door Lock/Unlock metal keys imbedded in the remotes. The keys will lock the glovebox but will not start the engine.

If you go somewhere, you can lock your valuable in the glove box, give the remote to the valet and keep the embedded key. The car is Lockable/unlockable and drivable but NO access to glove box.

where is the separate lock for the glovebox in the E70?

It's not for the glovebox, it's for the hatch cover in the rear floorboard.

Thanks guys for replying, I was just concerned if the one key is missing because the Manual talks about a spare key. Is that not applicable to the US?

Would be interested in seeing that. There is no spare key and I don't think it's mentioned in the manual.

There are two "remote controls with integrated keys".

Not sure why you're looking at 2007 manual. You have a 2008 E70

I had the 07 Manual, didn't look in the 08. So looks like folks who have an 07 got an extra key?
