issues with wheel hubs on 214 rims

After 3 months of motoring i noticed corrosion on the hub spacers on all four wheels on my 08 E70, now 3 months on they are nearly brown all over, on a trip to my dealer I pointed this out as was told it’s a common fault with the hubs but they wanted to charge me for the cleaning and repainting of the hub. Anyone else have this problem, and to answer your question I don’t use and acid cleaners on the wheel or hubs but I do regularly clean them.

I painted mine silver and clear coated them when I painted my calipers. Still looks mint. I couldn't stand the constant rusting after cleaning.

Denalio, Titz looking hubs and calis!

OP: the hubs rust/corrode...other than painting,
not much one can do, imo. Maybe the Stlr re-do will
last longer.
