Newbie - Rear Climate Package Question

Hi. I'm new to this forum and need some advice please. I'm putting together an 09 X5 order and can't decide whether or not to get the rear climate package. For the most part, no one will be sitting in the rear cabin. Is it worth getting this option? Should I consider it for resale purposes? Any pros/cons would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think the E70 looks much better with the privacy glass. On the other hand, if you really care about this option you are likely to apply tint aftermarket anyway.

The window shades and climate control are very nice if you have kids (or are planning to anytime in the vehicle's life). This obviously would apply to resale value as well...given many people who drive X5s use it (at least part of the time) for family use. One more note about the window shades. If you get the aftermarket ones, they don't neatly recess into the door. Thus, I would get the package if these interest you.

I got all 7 packages and although I have complaints about some of them (i.e. quality of rearview camera, underwhelming cooling in ventilated seats, etc.), I would order them all again if faced with the situation.

I got the rear climate package 80% because of the screen. That is something you cant ever get close to after market and I've been told by many passengers that it comes in quite handy. Not too worried about the privacy glass as you can get tints, and the separate vents don't really make that much of a difference since you are in a closed tight space anyway....

+1 on the side shades. If that was offered as a separate item, I wouldn't have gotten the rear climate package.

The tint (for me) too light so I had to tint over it anyways.

Vents. 50/50. Fine without, but nice feature for those few passengers that ride in the back.
