I guess not from the lack of replies. Extra info - I have comfort access, so when I turn it off without the key plugged in, I have to press the start/stop button twice - once to stop the engine, again to shut off accessory power. I'd rather just have power off when I open the door to get out.

To answer your first question, the answer is no. That kind of stuff is unique to American cars actually.
When the engine is running, hold the stop/start button a few seconds. That will stop everything- the equivalent of pressing twice. |

Locking doors will shut radio
Couple of other notes about comfort access:
When you lock the doors, this shuts the Radio ect. Also, once the doors are closed, the radio will go off after about 5 min. Thanks for the hold Start botton, have not tried that one yet! |
