Valentine1 Concealed Display Install

Ok, I didn't come across any V1 installs with the concealed display unit the I liked. So I did it myself. Thanks for some other member's help in helping me remove trims without breaking any plastic pieces... (Don't you hate it when that happens?).

So first, here is a pic of where my concealed display unit and V1 is positioned.

You need to remove the driver's side kickpanel. There are three screws. You can't miss them. Disconnect the wire from the speaker and the footwell lighting.

Route the wire from the stealth unit through the steering wheel gaps.

Remove the TORX screw to the side panel and gently pull it so that the green plug securing it gets disconnected from behind.

Route the wire through the middle of the center console as shown.

The top view of the concealed display unit should now look like this.

Remove the passenger side kickpanel. Again, there are 3 screws and they should be very self evident.

Remove the side panel TORX screw. Gently pull on it so that the 2 green plugs get disconnected. Don't pull too hard or you will break the plastic pieces on the left where the CLIPS go into! After the 2 green plugs are disconnected, slide the panel towards the front of the car.

Note that I put the two screwdrivers into the holes where the green plugs go into. This is to help show you the location.

The last pic shows you what it looks like when everything is removed. Not the wireharness going into the cigarette lighter. You will need to use the blue tap that came with the V1 to tap into the GREEN with RED STRIPE wire.

You will need a 10mm socket to screw the ground wire. Note the location of the junction block.

I tucked the wire coming from the V1 unit itself around the windshield, tucked under the passenger airbag pillar, under the side of the car and back under the dash.

Good luck! Hope it's as definitive as it can be.... Positive comments are always welcome.
